I have tied about 6,000 flies on them in the past year... no problems at all; they are sharp, have a small barb, and are about half the price of other so-called top notch hooks. I started tying in 1954; tied commercially and sold over 200,000 flies. Webb26 mars 2024 · The best fly tying hooks come from reputable brands that use high-quality metal wire, excel in wire technology, have extremely sharp points, and are proven by guides and anglers not to break. In my opinion, the best fly tying hooks I have tested come from Daiichi, Tiemco, Hanek, Kamasan, and Dohiku.
